1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PaidWrite (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PaidWrite is an AI-powered document analysis tool that helps contractors and subcontractors in California identify potential compliance issues in construction documents. The Service includes:

Mobile application (iOS and Android)
Browser extension (Chrome, currently in private beta)
Email-based document submission (scan@email.paidwrite.app)

PaidWrite has no user accounts, logins, or passwords. Your use of the Service is tied to a random identifier generated on your device.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use PaidWrite. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing

There are two ways to pay for a full analysis, and the exact price is always shown before you pay:

Pay-as-you-go: $2.00 per page plus a small AI processing fee, typically a few cents (billed at the actual token rate, currently about $0.00225 per 1,000 tokens).
Prepaid credits: credits cost $2.00 each and are sold in a 10-pack ($20.00). One credit unlocks one full document analysis, regardless of page count. Credits are tied to the device that bought them and can be shared through a pilot or organization pool where one has been arranged.

Prices are in US dollars. We may change prices for future purchases at any time; a change never affects an analysis you have already paid for or credits you already hold.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe Checkout, which opens in your device's system browser. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store payment card information.

4.3 Refunds

Because analysis results are delivered immediately upon payment, refunds are not guaranteed. If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge, or credits that never arrived), contact support@paidwrite.app within 7 days of the charge. We review every claim; approved refunds are returned to your original payment method and reverse the corresponding credits.

4.4 Free Preview

The free preview (risk level badge, document type, page count) never costs anything. Payment is only required to unlock the detailed compliance analysis.

4.5 Rate Limits

Scans are rate-limited per device to prevent abuse. There is no general free tier; contact support@paidwrite.app if you need higher throughput.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Submit documents containing information about third parties without their consent
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
Use the Service to create competing AI training datasets
Impersonate another person or entity

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

PaidWrite, including its name, logo, AI models, and analysis methodology, is the intellectual property of ContraForge LLC

6.2 Your Documents

You retain all rights to your documents. By submitting a document, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the analysis. The original file is deleted within 30 seconds of upload, and the extracted text is deleted when the analysis finishes or fails. See our Privacy Policy for retention details.

6.3 Analysis Results

Analysis results generated by PaidWrite are provided for your personal use. You may not resell or commercially redistribute them.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI ANALYSIS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONTRAFORGE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC ANALYSIS AT ISSUE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ContraForge LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

11. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@paidwrite.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under JAMS rules, except you may bring individual claims in small claims court.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where practical, with a notice in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you violate these Terms.
